gearbox swap

Hi people, I'm new to all this pulsar stuff having spent my life with Ford's and Vauxhall but picked one up in need of a gearbox. Ive managed to source a box with transfer box attached is it possible to change the pair in one lot with engine still in situ or do I have to drop the lot?

woodbridge near ipswich, i havent got any pics online yet but plate is k65 rot, she a black one. only had new clutch, box and hydraulics fitted 1500miles ago in may. receipt i have shows car lived on isle of white at the time. Id like to try trace the old owner to find out some more details about the car. bought as a project as needs tidying and some dodgy "home" fitted wiring sorting out but always wanted one of these and well chuffed. It has a strange clutch problem that i think is the result of what has caused the box problem, clutch operates perfectly in 1st gear, slot into second fine then when you go to take it out of 2nd the clutch pedal if half way down before it starts to disengage the clutch, bring your foot back off the clutch then reapply it and its perfect again and goes into 5th no problem(dropped 3rd and 4th gear) and out of 5th its fine, only has a issue when you want to take it out of 2nd gear???????

while removing the dodgy wiring from behind various bits of dash i somehow seem to have knocked it into 4th gear and now it wont come out, yet when driving you cant get 3rd or 4th, they select but dont engage, engine just revs when it in 3rd or 4th
