plus ive all the bits to build the fastest pulsar the world has ever seen
but can you rightfully call it a pulsar running the vr38tt lump and 370z manual box???

im very tempted to do this once our new companys up n running, if anything it will showcase what we can do and be a good advert plus no one will know it isn't a pulsar unless I lift the bonnet lol

auto pulsar is next project and this will be for next year once were in our new larger premises as will take a fair while to build this as engine will need uprating first

there was a guy a long time ago who used to rally mazda 323 turbos moved onto rallycross he built a space framed car based on a audi tt/gtir hybrid floorplan that had a rear engined gtir sr20det engine with a 6 speed audi gear box

The Ferrari one got chopped up and weighed in! And engine sold on...

but I've seen big HP SR20DET engines with very good results.
Take for example the Greek Sedan GtiR.
I've seen it / photographed it / drooled / discussed with the man who owns it...........that car is not that complicated to build....and it makes 8.4 sec on 1/4 mile.

the only thing on the transmission is the gearbox and gearbox case......everything else is standard.
So...why not build a genuine GtiR with an genuine SR20DET engine????

For you Bob...it will quite easy, as you can source alot of parts for the GtiR.

If it will be by me....this is how I'll do it!

And by the way....as you can see in the photos from the link I have uploaded the engine is almost a 2.0 liter engine.
86.5 mm bore.....and it's making approx 1000 BHP....with very good results on the 1/4 mile...even better than the Mazworx car.

yes they may make that power bogdan but youll be forever rebuilding it just as mazworx and many others do, many of those engines only last one or two runs then stripped and rebuilt again same as boxes.

with the gtr engine you eliminate the gearbox problems, once forged will run 1200bhp easily with correct sized turbos and you wont have to keep ripping it out to rebuild.
the sr20det is a great engine but at that sort of power it suffers from block twist, lifting liners/head and many other problems.

you can build any car to be fast in a one off run or odd trackday, but to build it to be reliable at anything over 600bhp is a whole different ball game
thing is you never hear the full truth from people 'take svm now in other thread' only what they want you to hear as its bad business telling everyone their engine or box has let go, that goes for any tuner or engine build company, the cars are just a showcase to pull in more orders.

cars are built for one specific, to try break a record, after they've achieved that (if they do) then its new engine time again.

with the gtr engine fitted in a pulsar running around 1200bhp a 6 sec qualter is achievable and the engine would still survive.............hopefully lol

As above the gtir engine is 500 bhp lump in my opinion anything over you best have very deep pockets and a lot of time on your hands. Not saying its not possible or others have not achieved it with reliability but for many its at the limit without thousands of pounds to hand. Depends massively what you're trying to achieve bragging rights or a good all round car. A lot of uk tracks 360 -400 tops is more than enough for it to hold its own. Bigger tracks like Silverstone we would not compete against very high end 100,000 pound cars as things like aerodynamics etc come into play in a big way. Drag car is a different matter straight line but to get super quick times it wont be road worthy

6 sec is a bit exagerated...but a low 8 or low 7 sounds more realisitic!

Come on at my shop......and we will build it:)))....you can visit also one of the nicest roads in Europe....and also the beer....and also the traditional spirits...and also the traditional food....and let us not forget about the ladies:)))))))))

Trust me I know what happened to the Ferrari one
It was stored in a close friends lockup until it was decided to scrap it and then the Evo/gtir was born.
