Been out in the car after it's been stood about 10 days and the dump valve isn't making it s noise as it normally does when you change gear think it's when it dumps to atmosphere any reason? Still drive fine and wideband is showing normal figures

What dump valve is it darren ..... pop it off and make sure the piston moves up and done .... or maybe the pick up has come off ....

That's right bill . If it's not dumping will it cause a problem cos I quite like it quiet

Aslong as its not leaking then no you can run without one .... the idea to a dump valve is to prolong the life of a turbo by keeping it from stop starting /stalling  but  people run without no problems plenty of different  opinions on whats best ...
