Hi guys I've seen this gems ecu on eBay and was interested in it as I was originally gona go for the nistune in June down at edds
Now I don't no a lot about Ecu's but how can I tell if this is a genuine gems ecu and not some cheap copied Chiped ecu that some one has done as it doesn't state gems any where
I messaged the guy on eBay as to how can I find out for sure it's a gems ecu but he hasn't replied I've just never come across or heared of any one on here with a gems ecu as I didn't know they did it for the pulsar

Can any one share any info on this ecu and what are your thoughts on it

So it's not actually a stand alone ecu then?

Lol we'll spoted nomad I must be blind that I never seen that any body ever used one one these what's it like compared to the nistune
Don't think it is a standalone think it's a standard ecu with a gems board fitted to it

That's what I thought when I saw it but I have no idea if it's any good or not, I haven't got a clue about ecu's either lol.

You want to find out if it's mappable or just a set map

Yeah I would find out who can map them first and what it's currently mapped too.
It is a standalone ecu and I believe it's a mappable unit but not 100% on that

Think I would rather go for a power FC, Motec or something readily easy mapped by choice of tuners as like the hks ecus you could be limited to one place which isn't necessarily a good thing

I've Just got prices for mapping the ecu of £300 and not many people map these so it's £300 for the ecu and £300 for mapping for £600 I think I'll just go for the nistune as the turner said you have to be careful as they are old ecu and can go faulty and you will have no warranty with second hand ecu also they have idle and cold start issues
Thanks for the input guys
