BC (br) COILOVERS OFFER FROM GTI-R US

Ok guys im putting this up as some of you may not know that we are agents to sell these coilovers direct from factory to you.

We are doing them for £675 delivered (uk mainland) with a one year manufacturer warranty which I think youll find can not be beaten anywhere, this is an offer to forum members only and is not advertised anywhere else.

You can also specify your own spring weights and they come with adjustable front pillowball top mounts as standard.

The BC range of coilovers are, I find much better than many of the others around from Taiwan such as d2, g force etc and the customer service and spares are far easier to obtain too which is why we are dealing with them and not the other types.

Is it only GTiR's? or can you get them for other makes & models of cars? May know some people in the near future wanting them for other motors

Is there any way they would do a external resivior model for gtir. As im looking at intrax atm

There is someone on this forum that has a set of either those or possibly proflex down in Portsmouth way but can't remember who the guy is but he don't like them on his car as mainly for road and too harsh a drive
Il see if I can find him as we sent him some parts a few weeks back

Is it still possible to get standard legs and springs and shocks. I'd love to change mine as they always look a bit rusty when you take the wheels off

Could you tell me, what's the default spring rate for GTIR, and the available rates?

Default rate is 6 front and 5 rear
Most people go for 5 front and 4 rears but you can specify what your after and they will do them

Is 5 harder or softer than 6?

Softer john, the lesser the weights the softer the ride

I find the 6kg springs far too harsh for road use and even on a smooth track they are too hard even with rebound on a low setting.
The springs over ride the damping ability so in effect you just as we'll have lumps of wood wedged under there lol
5kg springs on front work much better with 4 on rears
If just a road car you could even go 4s front and maybe 3s rear but never tried those weight springs before

Could you post the prices for F5 anf R4 springs please?

Are springs available seperate bob incase you wanted to experiment. Yer find out im on no rush as the shell is going to be on sill stands till late summer before i start bolting things on over the winter.

tommy.........yep springs can be bought separately if you wanted a few different rates, from memory I think the springs are around £180 a set if you bought them seperately

Set meens a pair only or all corners?

pair only I would say I am sure its nearly as cheap to buy a full new kit as it is 4 springs bob will correct me if I am wrong tho ?

This height adjusting fixing bolt available for spare?

I would of said £180 would be 4 springs, £90 a spring would be crazy & plenty of spring suppliers around should that be the case.

yep that would be for 4 springs

What is the deliverability on them? Just had MOT and passed barring number plate in window lol

Advisory was weeping shocks, which I knew a few months back anyway

depends what spring weights you go for steph as some are not in stock but guess roundabout 10 days maybe sooner on standard springs

Based on my infos, the front 5kg spring is unusable.
The original BC coilover has 120mm travel onfront, minus the 30mm rubber fender, so only 90mm.
Using the original 6kg/mm front springs, when the car is down, springs squezed 64mm, so the remaining travel only 26mm inbound.
Maybe it's good for tracks, but I can't use it on the Hungarian streets.
So I'm going to use 10kg/mm front, and 6kg/mm rear set.
