Wow! Looks very impressive mate. Loving the wheels in white how wide are they as fill the arches nicely.

And that's some engine work, what's the full spec?

Cheers Bucky!
Well where to start really!! First thing first, this is my second gtir. And the other being pretty much standard and this is a new project to me. Things are changing on a weekly basis due to small niggles and taste..
As you can see the engine is totally forged to a very high standard by the company Ilmor  who gets involved in making F1 engines I hear.. But this was all done before a got the motor and  still being run in from this build. Less than 800 mile to go!!! A running in map of 340 bhp so already powerful and on the road to being a very quick car!
She's not being used for drag or hill climbs just track and everyday use really. Keeping in mind drive & reliability anything over 420 would be a bonus! A GT3071r has been fitted
It has some restrictions and these will have to be changed before the remap to get the power I'm looking for. like a custom made more free flow turbo elbow, induction will be swapped for a z32 and a bigger exhaust system and to slow the water pump down a bigger water pump pulley. Double skin radiator will also be needed.
Since the buy a load of good advice from bob at gtir-us has been a big help!! And things would have moved on a lot slower..... Laughing  Laughing  Laughing
The mods and work list goes on and I will update soon.

Welcome aboard mate. Very nice motor that Smile must say I'm jealous of the spec Razz I'm looking forward to seeing you reach the cars full potential when you have sorted a few things and had her remapped when run in. She should be a beast when she's ready Very Happy

This is the car we bought in recently and was going to partially break until mr tucker came along.
I wanted that engine myself as the build labour alone was 3k and the engine is a gem and built to run very high boost.

Certain things on the car though are not done correctly such as the way the rear brakes are piped up, charge cooler isn't plumbed in correctly and other minor issues as mentioned.
This has the makings of a very fast car though with bits sorted and even at 340 odd bhp it pulls like a 400bhp car it's certainly the hardest pulling 340 bhp car I've ever driven and has no lag at all so has been very well mapped on the run in map on it at the mo

Paintwork on it is also very special  Cool

That was spark plug spikes car lol
He somehow managed to blow the inside of the plug clean out leaving just the threaded part with no nut seated flush in the head but the guy at rr had an easy out and managed to get it out.
He was very lucky it never ended up in the cylinder as that would have destroyed the engine
