replacing rear tailgate

My rear tailgate has started to rust so was thinking about sourcing a replacment however my rear quarters and rear glass has a gold tint (dont know if this is standard or not), how much would i be looking to buy a tailgate and have the glass switched over? if this is possible can it be done myself or a specialist?

Its probably the bronze tint glass, it is rare as it was a factory option 99% sure it was anyway.

I had my rear window taken out & put back in by a speacialist as manes bronze to & I didn't want to damage it.

I paid £35 for the job & he bonded it back in aswell so it looks a lot neater & the old seals are fooked now after 20 years of age so had no option realy & like I say with it being bonded back in it looks far tidyer

Both my pulsars have bronze tint ..... the rear is bonded in same as the front .... so would need to be cut out is something you could do but it isnt easy ...

do any of you have a picture, ive never seen the bronze tint before so dont know if mine is genuine or not, mine is more of a gold mirror tint

£35 is nothing really so ill just pay someone to do it

Anything to do with glass is worth paying for. People who do it day in day out wont have a prob. I have a front to do next week :/

I did my front screen on my daily wasnt too bad cost me all in all 20quid ...

yeah ill just pay someone to do it, sounds a good price tbh
