Can anybody help me to locate the fuel pump relay?

I want to change my fuel filter this afternoon and I have no idea were the fuel pump relay is so I can remove it to relieve the pressure in the fuel lines.

Cheers buddy, what do I do just remove that fuse and let the car idle until it runs dry?

I just leave the car for half an hour and then undo the pipe on the filter. Not a lot comes out...

Well in that case then I could just not turn the keys in the ignition then the pump will not prime, I haven't run it since yesterday afternoon so maybe there won't be a great deal of pressure still in the fuel lines?

I've just realised there's a small split in the fuel pipe were its screwed to the filter so perhaps that could of been causing my misfire? Surely though if ha was the problem I would of known about it because if it was bad enough to be causing the car to loose fuel pressure then there would of been fuel spraying everywhere and I would of self fuel?

Any way I'll cut the pipe back a little bit for now so it's not leaking and fit the new filter, perhaps I should replace my fuel pipes in the not to distant future

Yes-if it's on the filter it will be under pressure so you would definitely smell petrol if the split was all the way through.

The split was on the pipe before the filter, the pipe had split were the jubilee clip had been tightend on it. it only started leaking when I started to bend the pipe, as soon as I pulled the filter off it's bracket I smelt the fuel but I had never smelt fuel before that.

Obviously it wouldn't of been doing it any favours either way so I have cut it back but now it only just reaches. I'll have to get a new bit of pipe for it ASAP but for now it's not leaking so I can see how it runs now.

It's just airing out on the drive at the moment because I spilt a bit of petrol, it wasn't that bad but better to be on the safe side and make sure its all dry

Well it's still misfiring but it's also still leaking fuel, probably worse now  Rolling Eyes I didn't have much hope in the piece of pipe in question, I didn't do a very good job of cutting it back it wasn't a clean cut, the rubber felt half perished and it was being stretched because I had to cut it short.

Looks like I best get a lenght of fuel pipe ordered, can anyone tell me what size pipe I need to order?

just take the old filter upto a motorfactors bill and they'll give you the correct sized pipe

Tip for cutting pipe measure the length of pipe  slide a jubilee clip just past where you need to cut tighten so it holds itself to the pipe then cut round tight onto metal clip  Some clips stick out wher you tighten them so cut half way then slacken spin clip retighten and cut again  or if its small pipe cut nearly all the way when you remove clip only a tiny bit left to cut. Nice sharp stanley knife and watch those finger ends

Cheers mate, I'll try and get some pipe and sort it tomorrow if I get the chance.

If its still misfiring after this I might just take it to the garage I always use, the guy there owns some sort of skyline lol not sure what it is but it says BCR33 on the back, never heard of one but perhaps they might have the Nissan consult cable and software or if not they will know what they're doing more than I do and they have the tools that I haven't

There's a million things I could still do with checking but my lack of tools and knowledge means its gonna to take me forever and a day to find the fault lol an I want to get her sorted and ready for the RR day
