Ive posted a video on you tube, called 'nissan pulsar funny noise under boost' have a listen see if anyone can put there finger on it. I have recently changed turbo and injectors then after this started, changed the plugs, may do the ht leads next. But ultimatley im guna get a z 32 and a remap but dont want to if this wont solve the problem.

gtir_sunny

Sounds like hesitation/missing, could be loads of things, check the turbo to solenoid piping, what boost are you hitting?

Mark Ager

In the video im on low boost which i think is like a bar or just under but if i put it in high boost its much worse, maybe ill change the leads see

Mark Ager

Had NGK-R before but they got wet from water getting in the vents so i bought some champion ones not sure on them just the ones the book said in the shop.

gtir_sunny

Could be your plugs then, I'd change them for some bcr8es

The NGK BCR8ES are a fairly common plug, you should be able to find them easy enough and they are usually only a couple of quid each Wink

Mark Ager

Yeah cheers i just didnt know the name first place i rang had em on the shelve for £2 each....bloody typical the champion ones were twice the price. do they need re gapping or are the 0.8 already?

I bought some listed for an aston martin v8 vantage because they came pre gapped to 0.7 if I remember correctly.

I got 8 for £16

My plugs came in a box but with two missing lol it was advertised as 8 though so I can't grumble, still a spare plug for each cylinder and at £2 a pop they're very reasonable Smile

Mark Ager

yeah will do i cant get em till 2morrow tho but ill put them in thursday night

Mark Ager

Ok so ive changed the plugs, but while i did i took the coil off which for want of a better word is fucked all corroded on one side split expanded you name it its got it. So ive orded one off Bob and i shall report once changed!

Mark Ager

Right i changed the plugs gapped to .7, this didnt help but then i changed the coil which was rusted expanded and basically fucked and yes its solved the problem. Cheers for everyones help, got a z32 delivered last week just need a map and we should be somewhere decent!
