Goes to show how fast you can go on £1000 bike. I once raced a mate on my £600 r1 he in his 400hp evo and it was rediculous how I left him stood . Not just a bit but a couple of hundred yards behind. Bikes will start topping out at about 160 so sitting with them at 150 isn't really hard but must admit you would need big balls.

Well I would disagree, those bikes are probably limited to 186.  Almost standard to I expect.  Very quick Audi though yeah, I wouldn't say no!!  It's virtually a race car with rent in the window and with that gearbox,  even my cats could drive that fast, hahahaa!!!

Be a very different story if the roads were empty and smooth, then give someone that actually knows what they are doing (IOM TT boys) something half handy and see what happens.  Not saying those bikers don't know what they are doing as its always hard to tell on a screen.  I don't think I could do any better but they DO have to be VERY cautious with all that traffic about. "Oh, I just didn't see them, what are those shiny things poking out the sides of the doors?"  Laughing

Not quite on the same lines, but I'm sure you get the gist.   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lTAUV1Yj4NE          The bike is standard.

Audi driver is a peen-arse, far to close, always easier to plant the right foot than have balls of steel!!

The gap between cars and bikes has been getting smaller over the past few years, granted.

not really that video of the car bike rallycross car is absolute bollocks.
why limit the bhp of the car when it is a race to see the fastest, why not use a european rallycross car rather than a world rallycross car also why not use an ultima gtr or radical sr8lm both quicker than the bike and obviously a hell of a lot faster than an old man in the atom

was looking on my speedo of the gtr today and 250kph is only around 150mph so not that fast really
the zx10 should hit 186mph unrestricted will be even quicker so couldn't have been ridden to its limit

but in all fairness when you have a loon in a car chasing you it would make you a bit edgey as one mistake from car driver wipes the biker out so they did have that to contend with too.

HAHAHA!! Don't get your knickers in a twist, just said I disagree! Also I said it was not along the same lines, but I do hear what your saying.
If you did want to use the other cars you suggested, could always even it up by not using a standard bike as lets face it, European or World RC are not exactly standard. Not seen many Ultimas round my way for a while now.

Turbo Gixers are not for the faint hearted, but nor are these bad boys: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TZufBF8ipFc or if your after some top end poke https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5BT2JjzHa-c prob cost a fraction less too. No rally car in world could match those, even those with "Unlimited booooooost".

Loving that green ninja at 1min What a Face

i think the zx10r hasn´t got any chance on such a highspeed chase. the r8 produces a massive amount of downforce at highspeeds. and as we all know, 4 wheels to the ground can do a better power and direction distribution than 2 with a total different style. and i think the ninjas suspension was far to soft. as you can see his backwheel is pumpin hard on this one left corner i think. i have seen this video twice before some weeks. there is also another video from the german autobahn. there´s a rs6 chasing a zx10r on a straight line from 200 to 300 kph. so as you can imagine.....at about 200 kph or about 120 mph cars can pull as fast as 1000cc bikes without having 1000hp or more.

yep to be fair I raced a zx10 in my gtr and from around 60 which we were doing I was behind him all the way uuntill he topped out and moved over
I could have overtaken him at any point whilst he was really on it which I was a little surprised by being an ex biker whos had all the top bikes

years ago when I had a hayabusa and tuned zx12r I thought nothing could possibly match the speed of a well ridden bike but theres no doubting the gap has narrowed now between affordable super cars and bikes. and unless your an exceptionally good rider theres no way a bike can keep with a car round the twistys, the laws of physics just wont allow it.

buck for buck though you still cant beat a bike for the adrenalin rush and buzz it gives you, for 3-4k you can pick up a 200mph bike jump on it and go like a bat out of hell Laughing

You can still find the vid on YouTube.

Must admit I play with the bikes round my way in summer I drive these country roads day in day out so I know them well,

These roads are well known up my way for the bikes in summer an it's a chance for us to play, in summer I had a go at 2 bikes I took one on a corner an the other pulled over to let me past then followed my lead.

Am not saying am the best driver in the world but these roads are better for a car with all the bends etc.

Like bones says it works the other way as this is going back 5/6 years now I raced a bloke in his civic (spotted the roll cage as he over took me) an I thought to myself fuck it this lad must be able to drive long story short he couldn't an ended up nearly killing his self thank god the tree stopped him is all I can say.
