Fingers and toes crossed should be getting pulsar number 3 the weekend. Needs a bit of tlc but excited to hopfully get a decent base for a project Very Happy

says it had a water leak so best to his knowledge its water pump is a bit iffy or on its way out

no problem well keep us posted. Just overheating etc sometimes people use a excuse of something to hide other problems. clutch is another famous one stops you test driving It or only driving short distance at low speed

yeah thats what I'm hoping for to be honest, anything i can check for that could be easy fix or reason for this? anyway to check if the water pump has gone etc?

is it going to be ok to start it up? obviously Id make sure its full of water etc. or best to leave it off until i can get it to a garage

top it up with water and run it up to temp, if it starts chucking water out the rad when revved lightly then the hg could be on its way out due to it maybe previously boiling up.

once its warm replace the cap and take it on a short run under boost then look for white smoke out of exhaust, mayo in oil and water and overly pressurised water pipes

all indications of other symptoms such as blown hg, cracked/warped head or worse still warped block, none of which youll know until head was removed.
that's assuming there are visible signs
you maybe lucky and just get away with a pump
