Yes mate ideally it needs to be around 3ft away from the tubby so after the flexi is alright .... and yes that will be ok to weld onto stainless steel .

Ive used stainless steel mig wire it is more expensive to buy obviously but makes a better job ....or tig it wich is much better and neater tbh .....is your welder gas or gasless ...... nothing to say you cant use mild steel wire  to weld it on ...fluxed wire is abit more splatter so i prefer to use gas wich leaves a more cleaner weld ..

Hello buddy, you can use normal mild steel wire to weld a mild steel boss into a stainless pipe using a mig welder, but it will rust quicker than if you use stainless wire or tig weld it using a stainless rod mate, hope that helps.Wink

Cheers lads my mig uses gas . But thinking of having a sis full system made now so I can ask him to put an extra bolt hole in it maybe 2 extra if it's ever going to be any use I suppose.

Sis system? ......the real benefit is having a true 3 inch turbo elbow mate as the standard elbow is restrictive ...

£350  now that is a good price .....was that complete system plus elbow .....is it a mate or something ?..... i would think nowadays you would be lucky to get it for less than double you payed .

I'm near silverstone mate, i've known bob for a few years now and had plenty of parts from him as we all do. My pulsar is sitting on axle stands at the minute as i'm doing a resto on her, still got quite a bit to do, but it's getting there, time is the main limiting factor though, but i'm not giving up like so many seem to have done in the past, i'll try and upload some pics, but i'm not very good at that ort of thing:oops: whats the best way of doing it buddy?.
