Wheres everyone going this year on their hols?

We go to barmouth every year. i love the place Very Happy
Ive been every year for the last atleast 20 years Laughing

The weather is usualy very good, always seem to catch it just right Very Happy
We go on a haven site so everything is at youre door step, i take a few bottles of vodka with me and park the car up for the week and get hammerd every night lol and day usualy lol
The beach is right next to you aswell so an early morning stroll is always on the cards Very Happy

We cant afford to drag our lot abroad, but to be honest i dont think theres anywhere other than south of france that i would want a family holiday.

for 2 adults and 4 children our holiday costs us £300 plus our spending money, we take our weekly shopping with us Very Happy

We usualy go in whit week in may, but this year its un june because of the royal jubilee so i hope we catch the weather or i will be pissed off with the royalists! Laughing

After staying in a (nice) caravan on the east coast last summer and it raining all week and being freezing at night, costing £730 or so when you include spendo, we went to Fuerte Ventura all inclusive for less than a grand(2 adults 1, 4 year old and spent feck all when there and it was lovely and warm in January.

done exactly the same, spent over £600 to go in a caravan which was cramped and beds were solid, rain and midgies, went to spain the next year and worth every penny, cost us around the same to stay in uk as it did to go to spain Smile

Its expensive when you have 4 kids though. One way of doing it is to hire a big villa and share it with friends.

Ha I know what you mean.A few years back I went to Florida with my extended family and we hired what can only be described as a mansion, it was amazing. We all started getting on each others nerves though after about a week so it wasn't quite big enough.
Would never be able to go somewhere like that on our own though as it was £3-4k a week to hire.

im off to the south of france this year in the tvr if i get it sorted in time (just me and the mrs)
will be looking at going to le mans first of all then down through the vinyards of the durdoigne (spelling) sample all the nice cafes and local produce then off to the south of F for a blast round the mountain regions then a bit of beach activity round marseilles and monaco then back up through central france.
done it a few year back on the bikes with a mate of mine and his mrs and we had a great time, just hope the blackpool rocket doesnt break down on me.

yarmouths great place tbh been there a few times in the past and its as good as it gets for a uk seaside resort, much better than southend where i live

We went to Corfu and the thing that stuck in my mind is that you can't flush bog roll down the toilet as their pipes are too small.Obviously I forgot and it backed up the whole bathroom with shit coming out of the drain in the middle of the floor.
It was an apartment so no cleaners and ended up sorting it ourselves with some "Tuboflow" from the local shop and some choice kitchen utensils.Well I say we, I opened and shut the door(to stop pesky mossies getting in) with tissue up my nose while my gf was on scoop duty.Good times.
