Sorted my vac lines out today & put them back to oe setup as they were all wrong.

Anyway the vac line that runs from "The boost selonoid on the passenger inner wing to the 3 way vacuem box behind the inlet plenum" Ive got the 3 things plumbed into that line, FPR, BOOST REGULATOR for AVCR & AFERMARKET BOOST GAUGE plumbed in to that line.

Is that ok to t-piece them all on that 1 vac line?

Gaz,

I don't know the answer to your question but would like to know what pipes you used? i'm thinking of fitting all new pipes myself...

i'm thinking this might work...

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/RAMAIR-Silicone-3mm-x-2m-Vacuum-Hose-Boost-Water-Pipe-Line-Red/350639410594

3mm or 4mm?

did you get some new pipes or just use the original? if you did use new pipes what inner diameter did you use?

can you do this in-situ if you disconnect the intercooler piping etc, is it possible to reach down the back of the plenum to connect all these pipes to vacuum box or does the plenum need to come off?

cheers

Adam

Hi mate I just used 4mm samco vac line.

& its easy enough to reach around the back of plenum, But if you have TMIC then maybe removing it will give you abit more room

thanks for the reply!

did you use little hose clips or cable ties etc as i notice the hoses on the air-chamber/vacuum box have small metal clips? obviously we don't want pipes popping off?

thinking about your question about connecting things all off the same pipe using t-pieces, my thoughts would be you can connect things that measure constants like vacuum/pressure, i.e. boost gauge, original sensor & fpr on the same line...

but i would have thought the regulator for AVCR should only go in the pipe from the plenum to the actuator because it is user adjustable???

this would be my gut feeling thoughts, i do not know for sure if it matters and it would be nice to know the science behind it? i've tried a few google searches out of curiosity but my knowledge of fluid/air dynamics is poor and i don't really know what i'm looking for to prove the point... Question

Yep little cable ties or clips are fine Smile

Uts not the main boost selonoid for the AVCR, its a little regulator that has wires coming out of it, must give somesort of reading to the AVCR screen.

I have my boost gauge t-pieced into boost sensor on the inner wing and my boost soleniod for my boost controller t-pieced in between the plenum and actuator .

I don't mean the main selonoid for boost controller, that is as you say Leighton "between plenum & actuator" The selonoid im on about is a little round thing with a vac pipe coming off it & a few wires that must go to the AVCR itself.

Anyway, just want to know is it ok to run 3 t-pieces off that 1 vac lnine from boost selonoid on inner wing to 3 way vacuem box?

This is how I have it set up, is this ok?
