hello guys today i tried to fit my new front uncut bumper on my car but i cant seem to get it to fit as i have a 4 inch front mount intercooler fitted (i have a cut bumper fitted at the moment) i have trimed some off the new front bumper but it looks like i need to trim all most all of the front bumper to get it to fit which i dont want to do as i want it to look orginal
any one got any ideas or pics of other people on how they have got it done i cant move the front mount as its pushed all the way to the back
pics of my front mount and and the bumper i have on at the mean time you can see to fit an uncut front bumper on there is near impossible without mayjor trimming

any help with what to do

What i did with mine was move it up as it was fixed through the crash bar and the two bolts went down through the bar wich bolted to the fmic i set it back slightly so it missed the bar then i could raise it upwards the ground out abit of plastic where the brake ducts are on the bumper to make sure it fitted and job done .... i made up the brackets when i was happy with where it sat welded them to the bar its a little bit of faffing about but it needed to be done .

Boby you got any pics so I can see how it looks and how much you trimmed off did you move the intercooler at all

Thank you nomad will try and see of I can move intercooler up and tilt it a bit but its the bottom of the bumper is the problem it sit so close to the intercooler that's why I wanted pics so I can see how other people have done it and how much they have trimmed off

What bob was saying from what i gather is you see the middle of the bumper you have the crossbars then the bars that go vertical attacthed to them you shave the bumper up to them bits then it will fit .im sure bob will confirm that before you go cutting it Wink

mine has the vertical bars removed and a part of the bar behind the bumper cut out so the intercooler sits a bit flusher

Yes mate in a short thats what you need to do your intercooler does look like it sits quite forward in the pics to me ...... imo i would try and get it sitting further back before hacking the bumper about then that way you might not have to cut away loads .

In the pics it looks like the two corners practicly touch the bumper so it defo needs to be set back .

I've tryed to take the intercooler back but it won't go any further back it's touching behind the front panel, that's what I was trying to say if you look at the picture both bottom corners are touching the cut bumper that's why am struggling to fit the uncut front bumper are the intercooler won't move any further back as its 4" thick

The same response you got on the OC site
"You will not be able too fit an 'uncut' front bumper with a 4inch thick intercooler, you can barely fit a bumper (without a lot of modification) with a 3inch, so 4 will be neigh impossible without something like 30+mm spacers, and that would look ridiculous."

Well there ya go, however as the title says, "uncut front bumper fitting" I still say it will not work.
However, if the bumper is cut like in the pics it is no longer an "uncut front bumper".
Pedantic I suppose but I was basing in on the "uncut", which the pics are "cut".
Over and out!

well yep obviously you have to shave the back of it off but at least it retains the same look as standard from outside
