I agree on some of it but lakeside meets have been going since i can remember ...everybody knows what its always been just police trying to bump up figures and make themselves look better and tbh we all speed even yourself pete atleast its all in one place .

Lakeside has become silly now. When it was just on the dual carriageway it was more acceptable, but now they are using the roundabouts in the way they are with the amount of spectators stood on the kerb its ridiculous.

Like with any meets you get bellends but there is some proper nice cars big power liners ive seen ferrari's lambos top spec cars wich isnt exactly chav cars that attend dont get me wrong your always going to get sheds little saxo boy racer types with any meet ..... what i dont get is obviously there is a demand for this kind of scene so why dont police help sort a place instead of waste time and lets face it our money trying to fook modders over moving them on then it goes to somewhere else then its a viscious circle ... when are the police going to learn no matter what happens these meets will always happen no matter how big or small of a scale .

Thats where the drift scene has come in bucky ...... like anything to do with racing ... its always a risk and tbh if you want to stand close to cars speeding past then its never going to end pretty lol .... im not here trying to justify it just saying police should try take a different approach rather than just throwing the book at people .

my view for what its worth...............crush there cars! thatll stop the meets and road racing altogether, one day theres gonna be loads of the stupid little twats who watch it get wiped out when a car completely loses control.

now im no saint and do speed at times when I consider it safe to do so but surely if you want to race then go book yourself on a track as I and many others do, that way you can speed to your hearts content without the chance of wiping out loads of bystanders
cant use 'not got enough money' as an excuse when they spend thousands modding the cars
this way they can see how good there driving skills really are when they are up against proper drivers rather than a bunch of vin diesel wannabes on a make believe fast & furious filmset

no time for them sorry, trash their rides and sell the scrap to me

cut them some slack old man some go over the top and lets be honest there is a place and time but lets be fair i race bikes on B roads (more acceptable you say ? ) someones a baby older maybe but there daddy loses it never goes home i crash my family devasted.I would live at the track but i see it as a £1200 a day love spending on my car but can not afford both

leighton i agree but its this country all over same with kids driving bikes in woods or on the streets. give them a local track but then you need at least st johns ambulance present.No money for that but hey if i start smack tomorrow there is funds galor people who work and pay tax get nothing and they wounder why people like myself worked since i was 16 dont respect the laws or goverment etc

(all this said i am no charv and i dont break the law) well sometimes but nothing bad

its not there fault though is it, they closed off tesco car park so theres no where to park, they closed off the dual carriage way so theres no where to drive, all they have succeeded in doing is making it 10 times more dangerous.

It makes no sense to me that the police move them on rather than having them all in one place and ending up chasing them all around towns etc i think its more a case of police jumping on an easy band wagon...getting the figures up for there records ......im not trying to justify street racing or behaviour such like but ... the goverment/police seem to have a really bad view of modifiers and with laws being pushed in dont you think its a slippery slope to doing away with the scene altogether wether your a street racer or someone who just tinkers away in thier garage it will effect us all eventualy ....

The problem is it only takes a few idiots to spoil it for the rest; the people that want to gather and see/talk about each others cars get tarred with the same brush so to speak

No i have always said it any motoring is a easy target. Like anything there are exceptions but normally so called boy racers modders are less likely to have bald tyres etc as they know they are first to be targeted by the boys in blue
