Toyo Proxes 4 ??

Hey All,

Anyone use or have experience with Toyo Proxes 4 tyres ?
I've not seen these before!

I need a new set of rubber all round - last set were T1-R which i was really happy with and going for again.
Looked on blackcirlces.com - the Proxes 4's are £76.75 fitted (205/40/17)
They dont have the T1-R in that size.
Alternatively I've found the T1-R on ebay for ~£76.33 delivered but then im gonna have to get them fitted.
Not sure which way to go.

Its going to cost you a tenner ish to get one fitted and balanced i wouldnt bother with the ebay ones not unless your dead set on those tyres .

Yeh - dont seem worth an extra 50 notes really - saying that - i live next door but one from a kwik Fit - might pop in and see if they will fit as a private job for £20 if not go with the others that include delivery & fitting price.

I've got a pair of brand new proxes t1r 205/40/17 never fitted

My mate ditched his eagle f1's for them proxy 4's and said they were a better all rounder on his little suzuki. They took a fair punishment on one of Bobs sprintdays

Ive got eagle F1's & i honestly cant fault them, i dont think they make them anymore as my local tyre company said theyve changed the name of them & turned them into eco freindly tyres now so in other words theyve turned them into "ditch finders"

for info - specially anyone around my neck of the woods...
got a full set of Toyo T1-R's (205-40-17) from Dartford Tyres (in bexleyheath funny enough)
£80.60 a corner fitted/valves/balanced
Really happy with that considering i couldn't find these rubbers ANYWHERE
They originally said 1 month wait but found a full set for me in a few days
Car grips fantastic with new boots all round !

That sounds pretty good, gotta replace 2 on mine so gonna stick with the T1Rs but i get them a bit cheaper through work

there is one at dartford as well almost opposite the merc dealers down near the dump. cheers for that though, will bare that in mind when my need changing. got a mate who works for what used to be motorsport wheels in brockley, just can't be arsed going over there though
