Domain renewal

Hi all, anyone else notice the sites domain has expired? Is this by accident or is facebook taking over?

hopefully gets sorted .
If no one wants continue it i more than happy renew and maintain it.
facebook etc is waste of time as does not build up the searchable reference like a forum plus forum has far more accurate info from variety of trusted members each with useful viewpoints and works in giving most useful usable data .

I use Tapatalk for most forums now much easier to use

Hi guys.
I have just renewed the domain and delete of the adverts from the forum..
Ive been busy over the last few weeks and haven't been checking in or checking on WhatsApp messages etc.
the domain should be back up and running in the next 24 hours.
I only had 4 days left to renew it...

The forums are costing £50 a year to run add free and keep the domain.
This has been the same for the last 2 years I think.

Im gonna sign of from Admin now and try and make a new post with what ive been upto and the shit ive found on my car today lol

Much appreciated listed, if we can get a donate button or something similar I'm sure we could all chip together for the small cost but wouldnt want you to have to keep stumping up for it alone

Got be careful on forum platforms like forumation as it all automated and once marked deleted it ain't coming back unless you got backups .

I will keep the credits building up and use them to pay for the domain every year.
I pay a monthly subscription or the advert delete and upgraded forum features.
I will look into what we get extra for the next value upgrade.
I think its only email address for members.

Fixed, I didn't do it.

I have just renewed the domain and sorted the adverts again.

As you all know im not active on here anymore.

I broke my mobile phone the other week "samsung s10" and shattered the screen, so now i dont have easy access to anything.
i havent got whatsap or messenger so cant recieve any messages.

If you have my mobile number drop me a text if theres anything wrong with the forum and i will wind up the old laptop and sort it.

I don't know if anyone is active anymore?

The way the forum payments work have changed, the credits everyone was sending to pay for the forum upkeep are no longer useable. we have 2800 credits banked, but i have no way of using them.
Fuck knows what forumotion expect us to do with them when there's no option to use them.
The only way we can have a domain and ads free forum is by paying a monthly subscription or a 1 off payment.
I paid it for 3 years but cant justify the money anymore.

yeah there is not much point when no one is using the forum. Long as the forum/ information here can be preserved Stu?

There might be nothing that can be done, but when you google GTIR forum, this one doesnt even appear, its like invisible, can something be done about that with the new URL?

GTIR-OZ has been down for all of this year aswell.

Forumotion is a messy forum platform .
What are the costs and what members interested in keep forum alive .
Would of thought it useful for basic parts sourcing, problem solving and bit of chat .
Lot of good accurate information on here be a shame to loose it all .
Once you default on your domain and fact minimal search and traffic google search pretty much forgets you on broad search terms .
Surprised site so poor as UK R numbers quite high .
Has Bob shut up shop ?
