Air Con

Does anyone know of a company in the north west (Chester way) that uses RS24 gas, drop in replacement for R12?

Every company I’ve found is down south. Not willing to drive 100’s of miles to fill the system to find out time I get home it’s all leaked out.

Just convert it to R-134, all you need to do is flush the system to remove all the old mineral oil, replace the dryer and recharge with about 25% more R-134a than the R12 amount, and add synthetic PAG oil. Can be done in couple hours.

Yeah but the hoses will need changing as well due to leakage of R134a, and all seals. Looked into it, but prefer to go R23 as a drop in replacement plus keeping near enough the cooling capacity of icy cold R12... loved how cold my air con used to be.

I can't believe a welshman in gloomy north wales has any need for icy cold aircon !
