Before I break this GTIR does anyone want it for £2200

I bought this last week .
And now its home have realised it's not what I thought it would be .
I bought and paid for it without seeing it .
First time I saw it was when it arrived on a low loader on Friday

So basically the gearbox shat itself and stuck in 3rd
As far as I know is what  he told me that's all that's wrong mechanically .


The body has been painted in plasticoat.
It has started to peel off so with effort should all come off .
The rear arches have gone and been filled between arch and arch spat . ( in effect the arch spat is now part of the car )and then painted with plasticoat . This is probably why the whole car has been done.
There's a hole in the bottom of the drivers door .

If it wasn't for the arches being like this I'd probablygo on with it .

So the engine was apparently rebuilt 10k ago .
It has what appears to be a Gt2871r bolted to it.  
The engine bay had been partially striped ready for the box to come out .  
I would happily put all the bits back on the engine do it can be heard running etc .

If the arches were done it would probably make a nice car .
I just don't have the time effort or money to do bodywork Aswell add mechanical work ..

If it doesn't sell it will be broken for parts .
Its £2200 firm as I think that's the very least id get if I broke it

Also comes with the private plate

I would possibly take the lot if it's still complete ?

I took a deposit on it . The lad is meant to be coming on Saturday to collect it

If it falls through il take it you just let me know

It does start now . I connected all the things needed to run the engine and operate the clutch .
