NOOB question have mines ecu in my R found this info online

1.1bar, 500 extra rpms, removed speed limiter, and modified fuel and ignition tables


so heres the question is my R running these specs

Yes the limit is raised
But you need to check boost
Do you have uprated fuel pump ?
Ignition system needs to be in good condition and those maps are quite aggressive but run a lot of ignition and I personally would get it checked if it's long term Ecu you plan to run

its the way i got it about 8 years ago havnt checked fuel pump i find at mid rpms the car picks up and goes like a bat out of hell no bogging or anything How can i check boost?

Boost gauge. Standard one won't read above 7 psi tho

Spoilt for choice on boost gauges really it comes down to personal preference as for wide band I have a aem but yet again personal preference really I bought a cheap boost gauge was a waste of money as the needle gets stuck

So i should go with mechanical not digital

Yeah I have a TIM boost gauge not fancy but does the job

Stack are very good do simple ones that req no power or electronic ones also do wide bands
