Right so since I've got your attention people lets talk about shows. It would be nice is some more of you lot could make an effort and show up lol. Also let me know about shows you would like to go. Usually there is limit of 5 cars for a stand (10 for Santa Pod) and tbh last year we were struggling to get even that. I'm in a process of booking Japfest at Silverstone, I was thinking about Japshow at the Pod, Japanese performance show at Coventry, Rally day at Castle Combe and Jae. I'll do posts with the detail later on but if there any suggestions especially anything more rally related do let me know I'll see what I can do.

As said on fb I'll be there, I know there aren't many of these cars around but there's certainly enough of us lot to put on a better turn out than what we do. If we didn't have mike organising all this for us we'd be stuffed really. So come on lads, let's get a good turn out for some shows this year and show them which are the best cars! Fed up of seeing 400 imprezzas 200 evos and 4 pulsars!!!' Laughing

The Honda kept me going through dark times shroom! One thing that would be good is if we could get closer to the main areas, we always seem to be at the arse end of no where, the good cars should be at the front Very Happy

Unfortunately those flags ain't cheap... I'll see how many people will come this year maybe next we can all chip in for couple of those (one we've got Si paid £160 for it)

Johnny they're treated like royalties... Hot food when possible cakes etc... Shroom after last show season gained 1 stone piss taker

Pete on most shows I can't do anything about location only Santa Pod gives you a choice but the problem is I'd have to pay for tickets when booking and those spaces are limited, so best bet would be buy 10 straight away and hope that there will be 10 people coming but could be a problem if more would like to come and there wouldn't be more spaces. Another thing I don't have free budget to pay for it now.

I might try and post something this week and see if people will wake up quick enough to book better space (but then some might be not happy that they missed it)

Yeah thats the problem you need to buy as soon as they are available as larger clubs will always have the buying power to snap them up. I dont really mind were we are really, those flags are expensive things! Cosmic just needs to read the directions to were the stand is lol

Another club one of my friends goes with get good placements at most of the shows but they buy really early, there not a large club but just get in there fast.

Just a thought guys!
Il run this by my 2 counterparts first but the club has a paypal account which is setup and linked to my account (but its never used)

Now would it not be a wise move to charge a voluntary payment to the account of lets say £5-£10 a head initially where that money stays in a kitty and helps pay for these event down payments etc rather than some poor booger such as Mike, Si or one of the other events team losing out because people have not turned up?

I say voluntary as we certainly dont want to force members to pay up or your out kind of attitude!
But those that do make a payment will have first dibs on places at events over those that have not paid anything!
Could put an emblem of some description next to their name of those that pay, something like 'gold member'

As for the flag........why not just mount the thing on a longer pole which is a damned site cheaper than buying another flag Laughing

I don't know What Neil whats from this flag scratch

I reckon he need to get his ass of the bead earlier so he'll miss all the traffic piss taker

I'm thinking about doing what Bob suggested and see if people who wants to go for shows at Santa pod would pay in advance, so I could get some good spaces while they are still available. Unfortunately other shows I can't do anything about the spaces but I did like last years at Silverstone.
