When it rains. The section of seat belt that's inside the door pillar, gets wet.
Has anyone had this and how did they sort it out?
I'm thinking I may need to remove the rear windows and seal the holes that the bolts go through?
Or maybe it's the window seal that runs around the body of the car?

I have just taken the rear quarter cards off and its all dry in there. So maybe it's damp that's gathering on the seat belt inside?
Think I will leave the quarter card off for a few days and then when it rains I can check to see if its getting in...

Is there not just water in the bottom of the surround where the belt sits

Thanks Johnny. I will pour water over that side of the car tomorrow Smile I didnt think about that..

I have removed the rear quarter card and the shell is dry behind it. The seat belt mechanism is dry also. Its just the belt that is wet :/
I will take some pictures tomorrow.
The seat belt mech is raised up on the pillar post so couldn't sit in any water even if there was water in there.

Stu I think rob means in the seatbelt holder itself not that it's sitting in water but water is sitting in it where the belt coils up inside the plastic bit. Get the kids to poor n you watch

Ah okay.
Yeah I think that might be happening.
I will get the kids to pour water over while I'm inside the car.
Hopefully that will show the place where it is leaking.
Thanks for the input guys Smile

Aren't there drain holes in the door?

Not sure.
But that wouldn't affect the seat belt.

It would if it's blocked and your seat belt is just left hanging on the floor like how I leave mine

I've had that... Unbolt them stick loads of sealant and bolt them back up. Only trick you'll need very deep 1/4in 8mm socket

My seat belt always winds itself back.

Thanks.
I will buy a socket and remove them and seal them up.
