Removing valves

Hi,

What tool do you guys use to remove the valves? I've got the tool below, had it years:

I'm thinking of making the above, got all the materials in garage.

If the head is off then the one you already have is perfect

When are you making another pipe beader for me to purchase?

i would recommend the bar style one as its a million times easier to use when you put it all back together.The bar goes under your arm and so you have both hands free.I made one from a standard valve spring compressor and it was worth the effort for sure.
