the bolted one is for reverse idler selector, the other 2 with cap type bolts have the detent springs and bearings which hold selector arm in place on the rod, without them it will just slop in & out of gear unless held in place with your hand and as said eventually it will drop a selector in gear so you wont be able to engage the gear your after so crucial they are fitted back
