Right then people, I've used the search bar and can't seem to find too much to help me, so...my question is, what camshaft would people recommend.
I'm Looking for something that will give me better response down low, so low to mid range, I want to be able to keep the standard springs etc etc and no head work JUST CAMS! And preferably where I can get them where they don't have to be imported or wait for weeks.

Any help will be greatly appreciated Smile

I would say HKS 264 are a good one for what you said but sourcing may be an issue here.

I hear people speak of the pipercams and can see them on their website so guess they would more easily available. http://www.pipercams.co.uk/pipercams/www/product.php?pid=PULSSR20

I have 264 in my car but cant really say much as I'm on stock boost lol

I know the HKS ones keep the stock springs etc and can see they do the pipers in 260 form so they may be the only decent option. I am not an expert though so someone else will surely have some more info.

Check the duration of the opening as well it's not all about the amount of lift, I'm sure there's more cam manufacturers ou there too but depending on how quick you want them

Because ive driven 2 cars with them fitted and the performance of both cars was exceptional.
The cams come in low down and are aggressive, this aids turbo spool time also, so in a nutshell you get some real punch around 3-5k which is where you want it at especially with a track based car.

Dial the cams in and port/flow the head then better still Wink

piper 260 are very close to the tomei 260.
Tomei very good prices here though, around 300gbp a pair.
kent 252 , tomei or piper 260 & hks 264 are ones that work well with sensible versatile power bands & sensible rpm limit .
gets some vernier sprockets for them.
