Yes seriously thinking of buying a Clito within the next week or so as was that impressed with Tims little frog Mobil Very Happy
Cheap to run and certainly no slouch.

As said if we all had na cars with a max of 200hp it would then level up the field in terms of driver ability and make it much more fun as the numbers going are growing

On a different note, I've discovered why my GTR seemed to be getting slower and was kicking out black smoke on boost which seemed to be getting worse every year..............turned out was the air filters blocked and I mean absolutely choked up Shocked
Took 2 hours to change the fookin things a real nightmare to get at which is probably why there in the state they was in.
but by fook does that car fly now, fastest it's been since I bought her by a long way.

Talking with my dad tonight in the pub and he is up for the challenge next year!
He will give me a 3k budget to buy the car and he takes care of price of consumables through the year.
Downside is that I have to keep it going for him!

Any suggestions apart from a fooking Clio?

Your dad is running more than 200 horses in that my friend.... not allowed!

Haha, his new red one is a 1.4, standard 595 which runs 180BHP. It's had nothing but a remap but it was a live map so don't know the actual power...... So I guess it will be approximately 199.99 horses now matey, just within the regulations!!! Wink

Thought you would say something like that. Talking to bob today and arranged for all competing cars to go on the dyno before we start to check power.
Hope its an adjustable map

92Snetterton - Page 4 Empty Re: Snetterton 23rd September 2015, 9:27 pm

Haha, it actually pulls up 160 on the dyno, something to do with the sensors on the 2015 spec that they have, if the rear wheels ain't spinning, it limits the power!

So I guess that means it will be fine for the dyno run to show the low power!!! Wink

I have an adjustable map on my pulsar though!!

Well if you have to be cheatin northerners then that's not a surprise!
No turbos tho so you will have to use that Clio.
Or a landi...

Yep no turbos, no chargers and no nitrous all banned

Cars to be ideally circa 200hp but power to weight ratio plays a much bigger part.  so we need to ideally sort something out as the idea of it is having similar powered cars on the straights then it comes down to who's better on the twistys and who can carry the most corner speed onto the straights, that's where the real fun begins

Il carry some of this into a new thread which il start in the Motorsport section, then if people want to join in they can

No silly rules but we have to implement some or people will be cheating, it's human nature lol

Anyone fancy being a mod in that section and organising this?

was thinking of maybe 6 different type events, bmaybe a mixture of track days, sprints, and possibly a bit of off road stuff such as a rally type course???
It would be like a car triathlon with 3 different disciplines Cool
All those entering could pay say £10 per event then at the end of the season will be a prize fund where winner takes majority of the kitty and smaller prizes for 2nd & 3rd
I reckon we will be able to get 10-20 entrants so at end of the season that's a total of between £600 & £1200 in prize money

Could be really good this if organised properly

Haha, it's called bending the rules...... I learnt it from F1!!

My clio's a 3.0 v6 though, rear wheel drive, so you'll be telling me I'd be cheating with that too!

I'll jump straight out of the way for the mod volunteering, sorry, I'm always a busy boy too! Lol! Sounds like it could be a good laugh, although joking aside, I actually do own my pulsar for track days and the likes, that's why I've built it like it is! Fast Road and good on track!! Wink
