Hi All,

Thought I'd add a pic of my Gtir I bought a few weeks back
Done a full service and sorted a few bits here and there, seems good atm,
Made a custom exhaust as the one it had on was a bit loud so a bit more neighbour friendly now... The engine was rebuild a few years back, cossy gaskets, arp bolts, HKS cams, HKS bov, ARC intercooler, Mines ECU.

Cheers

Is one with a great big fleece
And then I would be at peace...

Thanks everyone,

Yes just added a 2.5" in and outlet box at the rear and cut and welded some bends until it fitted! was over 120db before havent retested it yet but sounds much quieter! Needed for a 101db limit on a track day I have coming up!

Either an un-cut bumper would work, or a nice big intercooler to sit in there Smile

Lol the wheels are actually a dark metalic purple.... but might get re-sprayed in black, wrapped in 888's so nice and sticky! Smile

So I went on my first trackday in the Pulsar on Monday at Bedford Autodrome.

Had a great day with perfect weather for it!!

Only had a couple of slight issues.... Managed to knacker the brakes, got some massive fade after a couple of hard laps, so I was more gentle on the brakes after that but still took all the material off them, so some nice metal on metal grinding by the end of the day! I think some EBC yellow stuff and new grooved discs are in order for the next one!

I also had an issue with fuel surge when the level got between 1/3 and 1/2 a tank, so had to keep it brimmed, So will be trying the mod to lower the pump in the housing for the next one to.

Other than that it performed spot on all day, Just running 10psi at the moment whilst getting some miles under its belt.

Few clips for you all, I went with my mate who was in his tracked up 205 gti.

I have yellow stuff on mine. When cold they are shit! When hot they are ace.
For road driving I would advise against them personally.
I will be swapping mine when I get around to it.
They are standard brakes on my car so that and hard yellow pads all round isnt the best combination lol

Thats some useful info Smile as EBC sell them as being great hot and cold! Do you have standard discs? Or grooved / cross drilled versions?
Will you be swapping yours for a red stuff pad? or are you just going back to standard?

My pulsar is going to be more track focused, but I do need to drive it on the road to get there and back safely.

Cheers

Mine are standard calipers and standard disks mate.
It would no doubt be better with grooved disks.
only just passed mot with them on. They were within the legal limit. But the tester pointed out the brakes wernt that great when cold..
I will just go back to standard pads.
These were on when I bought the car back. I don't like them.
