my oldest, Dylan has finally been let loose on the road. he's had it almost 2 years now, put the body kit on himself, got the wheels, and basically got it up and running, it runs sweet as nut, purs like the ohv from years ago should do. its only 1.1 but that's all he needs as his first car. just got to put a mk1 boot lid on which he has inc the sponge spoiler, needs a bit of attention, but he'll get there, soon hopefully though as the mk2 lid really bugs me!!!!

Nice tidy old motor, my older brother had one when he passed his test 20 years ago but his was the 959cc lump.

You can save your petrol and make him drive to our meets Wink

ha ha , nice one cheers Bob. your hdmi cable has arrived as well, ill be down when I can to chuck that in

yeah he's doing alright with it, all lowered, done all the brakes, serviced etc. got a leak on the rad but I think he's managed to pick one up for £15 on the fiesta forum. he's all legal now, was really weird today when he popped round and then seeing him drive off, especially Rory sitting in there with him ha ha

So glad Dylan is on the road now, bet it was strange seeing him driving it after all these years! So are you going to go in the Fiesta when you come along to the Ford meets or bring both Laughing

Unfortunately some tube, decided to plough into Dylan's lovely little mk1 couple of months ago, not only did they cave the back in, they also thought it would be good to push him into the car in front and it was a category A write off Sad

Thats sad to see. Atleast it wasn't a supersport tho. Or mk1 xr2. That would have been more upsetting than what it already is!!
Looks like you have found him another nice example tho.

cheers Stu, yeah that would have been worst, paint work was a bit better on the red one, but with everything done he was going to do, he can spend a bit of time sorting paint out, its not something he needs to do straight away, just a bit flat in some places, other than that we got another nice one.

Looks like a huge impact.

yeah, he was on his way to Bobs, neck and back hurt for a bit, waiting for a payout on that as well, otherwise he was lucky, Tim ( trackslag) was going the other way just after it, he turned round and sat with him until recovery came. top lad Tim thumbsup

That's sad the red one is a write off, good to hear no major injuries to your son though. The new one looks mint, good find.

Argh man - i was just about to comment on how mint the red one was - someone really did a number on that - back end really pushed in !
Glad your boys ok though - thats the main thing
Looks like another nice example in the new one - plenty of time to get that up to standard !
Love the early Fiesta's - nice to see some are still being used as first cars !

glad you got back ok with his new motor Dan thumbsup

yes was a shame regarding the old fiesta as that was a lovely straight clean car but the main thing is that Dylan was ok and not too badly hurt, its just a lump of metal at the end of the day.

New one looks ok but sorry that is a pig horrible colour lol
would have to paint it if I were him, if he does the prep work (il show him how) il paint it for him if he gets the paint.

Now! whens the skiving little booger coming back to work Laughing

Very Happy Very Happy I know Bob, don't worry i'm on his case, its just a case of getting it insured now, the current mob, finally gave him his no claims today, so he's trying to sort insurance as we speak. I've mainly been south of the river and south coast last few weeks and been unable to drop him off.
don't you like the colour, though it was quite nice , a light grey or polar grey is its proper name
