My Father today had a crash not his fault. Crash was very minor. Anyone ever used a accident claimline? Guaranteed to get your payout?

I don't want my insurance to be affected. I am the policyholder on the car

Any advice guys

Accident claim lines are one of the reasons insurance is so expensive

any claim on your insurance regardlesss if it wasnt your fault your still going to be screwed by insurers Sad someone drove into my missus and she now pays £300 more a year on insurance

If it wasnt your fault ie you or passenger then you will be claiming against the person who caused the crash so shouldnt effect your insurance as your be going through thier insurance not yours ...

I did the same and my insurance has gone up due the non-fault accident, suppose it depends on which company you use.

Your next premium will go up.
Also remember when apply for new quotes one question is have u been involved in an accident in the last x amount of years.
Sometimes talking with the broker can get any accident load reduced.
Main thing to do is make most of your claim to compensate for a few years possible higher insurance.

Yes mate told them and renewal was higher and also a quote I got for my son on a named policy was £300 higher after the accident and even though I argued the toss with them it was a no fault claim, they said it doesn't matter you are free to get insurance from another company so I did!!

If its a passenger that was involved he can personally make a claim against the the person who caused the incident that way it has no way relevance to your insurance as it is a third party claim ....

I've been speaking to a few people. They said if I claim through his insurance I will not be affected. I have not notified my company. Wait and see what happens i guess.
