My new turbo should be on tomorrow, Iv gone from a 2871 to a 3071, my question is will I be all right to start it up to check for leaks etc, and what about driving it to be mapped? Can I do this as long as I stay off boost? It's about 15 miles away! Thanks

Off boost will be totally fine as not putting any strain threw the engine,

Seems tickety boo! Gotta book it for a map now and see what happens! Wasn't quite the straight forward swap I was expecting it to be as well?

Did you have to grind away abit of the block to make it fit ???

Not the block no, I had to grind part of a bracket down! Other wise the 't' on the garrett wording on the turbo hit and wouldn't allow the manifold to bolt up
