So frustrating, finally put car back together after sitting in garage needed few bits putting back together, drive down the road and battery light comes on.. And now on light throttle a misfire, been faultless for a while and a week before the rolling road starts playing up.

That's a pulsar for you. Have you found the cause of the battery light; not charging?

Check connections on alternator Glenn. Also check alternator output. Could be something simple.

just had exactly the same prob on a car down here today
batt light on and no charge rate from alternator plus a misfire on boost

thought oh well its the alternator so stuck another one on........still not charging and still a misfire
so after checking the wiring noticed that the red and white wire from the alternator which goes back to ignition which is plugged in to multiplug on inner wing (second plug down) the wire had snapped close to the multiplug so soldered that up and hey presto all is good with charge rate and misfire gone too

so check alternator and wiring to it  Wink

It would of been that mate because if the alternator wasn't charging properly the ignition system wouldn't of been seeing the voltage it's used to and when you give it some the battery alone wouldn't of been able to keep up with the current demands hence the misfire Wink

Glad it feels loads better after a remap. I need to get mine mapped up with NISTUNE or something one day but for now fuelling looks ok so it will have to stay on stock map for the time being
