Propa traitor :(

Just blew my bloody gearbox up in big style
Sounded like a bomb going off and then it was a crunching rattling noise and couldn't get my gears

She's up on axle stands ready for a gearbox swap in the morning.

Took my wheels money for the nova

Ouch! How did that happen mate? Was it driver error or did it just let go on you?
I blew the gearbox clean off the engine in my Clio 172 because I accidentally shifted into 2nd instead of 4th    the clutch and box exploded and I ended up needing a new engine and box! lol

3rd gear has been clicking for a while now so I skip from 2nd to 4th so I don't stress 3rd...
Today I was doing a little spirited driving and forgot about 3rd gear and as I put it in 3rd it just let go

That's unfortunate mate. At least you knew the box was on its last legs just a shame it had to let go on you now lol

Gutted for you as its all money mate but just shows all cars can have there problems with boxes not just the R as so many seem to think. Whats the price of a box for it stu ? Least when its done should be happy motoring knowing you can use all gears inc third

Mine randomly started playing up and then let go in big style lol

I got one delivered to my door today for £170
That's about the going rate.
Took me 3 hours to get the old one off and 5 hours to get the new one on
I was told it was easy and should take 3 hours to swap one over...
On my back with the car on axle stands it wasn't easy
Still it's done now and all gears work nice
