Well I've recently bought my dads winter green off him and since I've had it has been cutting out on me as I pull away from junctions and then start 1st turn of the key? Now when driving along at steady speeds the car loses all power(no throttle at all) and then all of a sudden regains power?? Had me thinkin a problem with the fuel pump but I have noticed that just before the car cuts out that the odometer starts turning quicker than normal??

spunds like possible air leak in the vac system check all your vacum pipes, inter-cooler hoses and all the jubilee clips are done up. could be fuel pump as well but that is very strange about the odometer could it be an electrical fault??

Sound like it might be a dodgy wire somewhere in the ignition circuit.
