Anyone into PC games? recommend anything good?

I never really got into games my whole life but recently downloaded need for speed most wanted, old game but fuck its been fun playing.

Best you reckon?

Ive read half-life is pretty good aswell?

yeah its ok original half life was amazing (not so much now lol) half life 2 and all the other add on bits are good but they haven't done anything for a while?

I read that half life 2 is awesome, downloading it at the moment.

My favorite was always R type, use to play it for hours at Spanish City amusements when 'ah wer lad'
Got it on the Ipad now, still ace!

Half life 2 was very good, it marked a point were games became interactive with their surroundings and instead of objects like a bin been static when an explosion occured it would fly about like in real life. The gravity gun was epic and it was a great game. However its like a fast car, once 300bhp felt insane, soon it feel mundane so its like that with games, now its the norm.

Battlefield 3 and 4 were good games as they were very imersive. I had 3 x 23" 3d monitors on eyefinity and with peritheral vision i actually felt like an american soldier, beer belly and all... lol

Im suprised you have an iPad, i thought people still used a chisel and slate up around you.

I think you'll find us Northerners are quite tech savvy actually, we've advanced way beyond chisel and slates and are now world leaders in crayon writing! BOOM, take that!

GTA vice city
Age or empires 2
Need for speed underground 2

Ive got underground 2 as well Bebb, I havent been enjoying it as much as most wanted though. Ill get GTA though.

Yeah 1 monitor for your vision and 1 eaither side for peritheral vision and with some surround sound headphones its intense! Used to play in a clan and do a lot of geeky matches was quite fun as you could be flying about in a jet one round or battling through flooded cities on roof tops. Very expansive game and a lot of the buildings are destructable so you can C4 them and squish the little buggers hidding inside

Man that sounds so cool. I guess gaming is something I'm getting into as I'm getting older and im becoming a lazy fuck anyway

Gotta upgrade my PC to support all these new games though

Ive never heard of most of these games,
I played on a Spectrum 128k in late 80's,
Shit, shit graphics but seriously addictive games
 

I agree, I don't mind so much about the graphics, happy to play older games long as they are fun

Yeah its very expensive graphics cards are very pricey if you want to play on ultra graphics or more than 1 monitor. Although you can get a good build for sensible money and it still blows consoles out the water (which it should) played on the latest COD on the ps4 and it was shite

That's good to know, alot of people have been telling me to not bother and get a console. I like PC, i guess its personal preference

GTA V if you like mindless running and gunning with a bit of dodgy driving... Im currently in the middle of The Crew, it has a lot going but plenty of racing, If you want some simple non MMO insane shooting you should try borderlands 2 thas maasive and will keep you going, I guess it really depends on what you like bud. I have loads of games Tom Clancy Splinter Cell Blacklist pick it up for about 7 quid on steam and will keep you going for a short while. If you like Radio Control cars you could try VRC pro... Its a on going game that you can take part in as much as you want build up your ranks tune your cars and so on very technical if you want it to be.

These are all PC games and if you get a Steam Account you should add me Ill play racing and shooting games with ya (Im not great but I can go fast in straight line lol)

But my brother recently gave me this xbox 360, gave call of duty and Batman Arkham City a go, I'm damn useless

Think ill stick to racing games and imagine its my R on the road
