Haha love it that's similar to my white one but with a few extras Cool

is that one an sr20 or the 1.8? and did it come with the teins on it already?

As ugly as these little boxes are they are great fun to drive and puts a grin on your face when you get behind the wheel and sit your ass into the luxurious upholstery Laughing

I now have 3 of them and have lent my latest acquisition to Ajay on here and now he has fallen for it and it takes pride of place on his drive lol

How much shipped if you don't mind me asking. Must be a grade 3.5+.

Yea, great little cars. Also got an R lump in the garage but will probably never get to put it in. Might just go for the simpler option of adding a turbo to existing engine as Bob's done with his white one..
Nice car to drive tho. Good luck with the conversion.

I'll defo be looking for 350-400bhp out for mine, only reason I bought.

I think in total inc all fees an shipping it's cost me around £1800.

Started working on my little rasheen, pulled out the old 1.8 auto lump. Dash, interior and wire loom. Already converted it to manual, added all the clutch bits

So what this is telling me, is that a pulsar gtir can be converted into a 4x4 1.8 auto as well.

So far it's been fairly straight forward, swapped over the pedal box to pulsar one, cut home in firewall for the clutch master cylinder. Wiring wise I have the pulsar engine loom fitted. But will need to figure out some stuff as it doesn't plug into cabin loom.

yes fairly straight forward swap with everything, you could also turbo the 1.4 lump and fit that with 4wd manual gearbox if you wanted.

whytie wrote: But will need to figure out some stuff as it doesn't plug into cabin loom.

not as easy as you think but if your using all the pulsar dash assembly with clocks then it will be easier to do. if not then you'll need to re-configure some of the wires to the main fusebox as some are located in different places

wont work John!
my white one which I turbo'd made 196bhp on the rollers but had a lot of issues with the boost and the way breather systems plumbed in.
Basically you'll find that the engine will build loads of vacuum to the point where the oil filler cap is hard to remove due to vacuum created in the engine.
We tried various ways of re-plumbing it but nothing worked, even swapping rocker cover for a pulsar one did not work.

So I come to the conclusion that this is due to the compression ratio run on the 1.8 engine with ve head so we are removing the head and fitting a pulsar head to the block then using a 1.5 mls gasket, this will drop the compression ratio and allow you to run more boost because with stock 1.8 lump you can not get boost higher than .5 bar and it doesn't even like that.as compression is far to high and it causes blowby around rings which then gives you ridiculous crankcase pressure.
Will let you know what its like when the pulsar heads fitted Wink

Got some more time to work on the rasheen today. I've completely removed the abs system. Fitted a walbro fuel pump, some better brakes and swapped over some of the interior.

Yeah I had it in a pulsar about 5 years ago, been sitting in a lockup ever since. Thought I'd throw it in this as it's nicer than stock.

Working nightshift this week so got more time to work on the rasheen. I think I changed my mind 10 times as to what was the best way to tackle the wiring, didn't want to cut anything until ones 100% sure what was the best way to do it. The main prob is you don't have a reference of what the wires on the rasheen are without tracing them all through the loom.

Decided to remove engine again.
My little rasheen F8C60576-D2F6-4104-8180-20B5E04AE19E_zps5p18kn4r

I decided to fit the rasheen 1.8 auto loom to the engine, this covered starter motor, det sensor, the 2 water temp sensors and speedo sensor. The rest of the wire loom I decided to make up myself,

My little rasheen 32B33E7E-3F00-48B0-A66C-75C0298ADA05_zpsjvidudue

All the wires I needed I stripped of a pulsar loom, made a separate loom and then wired them all into the ecu. I'm pretty confident it should all work as it should.

Good work, at least by a making a new loom you can make it tidy and run the wiring how you want.

I think this was the easiest way to do it hopefully.

Hooefully refit engine tomorrow and then look at making a intercooler setup with what I have lying around.
