the spa seems more user friendly with indicators in similar place and rev and mph similar to a road car

I had digital spa gauges in my evo pillerpod mainly as 2 in one gauge seemed good utilization of space but the awful to read compared to analogue gauge, with analogue you end up learning the needle positions & it takes a split second to see a difference, with digits it harder to read & you can't see a change as fast as need read it fully.
spa analogue woody linked to is a favourite of mine, not cheap though :-( but very very good :-P

Yeah that's a good point about the digital gauges. It might also depend what you are using the gauge for, a temp gauge might be alright in digital, where as something like boost might be harder to read in digital as it's fast moving.

Yep boost was a right cock in digital, even things like temp was a pain as need focus to read digits while with analogue you can kind of see out corner of eye that needle in ok range .
will never use digital again myself, those spa analogue have neat features & are real nice to fit & use .

I guess some is personal preference & I found mine was analogue.
Like you mentioned though woody, picking certain parameters for digital use could help.
Not a big fan of digital dash myself, bit like the wheel really & don't need reinventing. Good old fashioned switches & sliders are cool too as can feel the position without need look at it, on my forester the fan control is on a jog dial with illumination steps round edge, got take your eyes off road use it while in the R you can click through fan speed & vent settings like it brale lol :-)

Yeah that's very true, sometimes traditional ways are the best Smile these are how I did my gauges at the moment. Works well for me.
