Afternoon all,

Just joined after the recent trip to the Nurburgring, I don't actually have a Nissan, but I'm sure you can look past that.

Cheers,
Tim

Hi mate, nurburg was excellent and the clio was a great little car to drive round, very forgiving if I went in too fast. Didn't have any major issues, the only thing I did was remove the rear seats to save weight, they are now staying out and its going to be a track car

welcome to the forum tim

you did great with that little car, and proves that power isn't everything on a track and shows you can have just as much fun without breaking the bank
you certainly had your monies worth out the old girl and embarrassed a few much more powerful cars in the process so with a little more fettling we will make the car a bit quicker too plus get it handling better then youll have even more fun with her Very Happy

Cheers Bob, I am going to try and make it a half decent track car for around £3000 all in. So far i've done £1000 including buying the car. I am working out my list of bits to order now, I will be in touch before I order anything so I don't mess it up
To start I am looking to fix the steering rack, add coil overs (seen some V-maxx ones for £350 new), poly bushes, 15" light weight wheels, de cat exhaust and a strut brace. Then fix any other problems that arise as we find them.
After that it will be uprated cams, racing seats and a roll cage but that will have to wait a bit yet. Very Happy

yeah second what Rich said, you were definitely winner of the week, was funny following you for a bit before you left me, that clio was a great little performer cocking its leg round the corners, although I don't reckon that poor cone would agree Wink

Welcome onto the site mate, was good to meet you last week and cheers for the laughs on the first night with your audio selections lol.

Looking forward to the next time now. Cars in bits already and making my list of bits to fix lol there is a couple of things. Gonna bring back the wide body R for a bit, while I fix the slim 1.... nice! Cant wait to see all the footage between us all.

Same here, sounds like I'm going to have to step up my game for our race lol. I've prepared a list and have started ordering some bits so hopefully I should be making progress in the next few weeks.

I found a decent picture of you on the photographers website with a cloud of smoke behind you and an expressionless paul in the passenger seat. I cant post a link because i need to be a member for 7 days. If you got to the links danny put on the Nurburg thread for me and click the 3rd one down you are a couple of rows above my car

You should keep those pics of bob in reserve for a time you need to bribe him. At least he didn't spit it all over Clare and Dylan

Welcome buddy. Nice to hear someone on here has a Clio sport.
Not much is needed to make them handle extreamly well.
I'd stay away from v max coilovers, I've got them on my 182 & they are way too harsh with not enough rebound, you would be much better off going for standard cup dampers with cooksport springs. Work excellent on track.
15s are a must for track, the car will feel much more planted round corners. Keep things simple & enjoy
