Hey guys. I Got a 1991 gtir at the beginning of this year and I'm really enjoying it. Spent a lot of money already just replacing parts and maintenance and I'm saving up now to get nistune and to get it tuned by a local shop. I already have evo injectors. The car is my daily driver. Plans for car is just up the boost to a bar maybe slightly more and get it tuned And Better brakes. Currently running at 12 psi.

Hi and welcome to the forum

You don't need nistune nor evo injectors to run at 1 bar
We've run cars at 1.3 bar on stock ecu, injectors and maf.

It's possible 'with good fuelling /ignition' and possibly an aftermarket fpr to see 330bhp, 320hp is easily achievable at 1.1-1.2 bar if all else is good

We've ran a few cars on our Dyno now (with aid of det cans, wideband to monitor afr's, knock) that are making very good power without going lean, very responsive and safe

Really?! Good to know.  I'm gonna turn the boost up after work lol

Edit - i forgot to mention that 94 octane is the best I can get up here. Maybe it' not a good idea if I increase boost too much?

Ah yes on 94 octane that really is not a good idea increasing boost.
Car needs setting up on rollers to see what she can safely pull with ignition backed off to safeguard against det
