My mates pulsar was dropped off sunday for me to rebuild his engine for him.

So this morning i set about stripping the engine down to remove the head to inspect the bores.
Started at 9:30 and at 11 Shroom turned up to collect a few parts, and for me to swap his front suspension over Smile
So i stopped working on the engine strip down. ( i had removed the top mount, plenum, manifold, dizzy and a few other things.)
So i got to work on Toms suspension, didnt take to long Smile
we had a chat as you do and off Tom went.
I then had to take the wife to her nans and on my way back i popped into my parents house.
took the zafira into the cosovans for a bath on the way home Laughing
Then got home st 3 oclock and started on the engine strip down again Smile
I finaly got the head stripped down and off by 5 oclock, had to drain the coolant and remove the rad before i had enough room to move the turbo and manifold enough to pull the head off.
Inspected the bores and theres no damage there Smile

Now i have to get the block out to rebuild the bottom end and put some forged pistons in.

all in all an fun filled day Laughing

My mate needed to know the state of the bores asap so he knew what he needed to buy... if the bores wernt damaged he knew he could just buy standard sized forged pistons.
Plus its easier to get just the block out from under the car than the whole engine Laughing

how much roughly for a full gasket set as i very much doubt many of the ones on mine have been replaced and maybe for peice of mind it may be an idea to change them all and clean the motor up alittle
